Accessibility Features
This site implements the following accessibility and usability features:
- Site is XHTML Strict 1.0 compliant.
- At the top of each page are links enabling text-reader software users to "skip to" each page's main, unique content, or to the featured pets section, or to the site information section in the footer.
- Relative units and Cascading Style Sheets have been used to control the look of the pages, including font size. If you are having difficulty reading the text due to its size, you can set the text size in your browser to a larger size and the site font size will increase as well.
- All color choices have been analyzed using Juicy Studios Colour Contrast Analyser and deemed sufficient for contrast.
- Alternate Cascading Style Sheet is available for printing.
- Descriptive hyperlinks have been used.
- The site has a consistent use of headings, lists, and website structure.
- The site avoids the use of frames.
- Alternative text has been used for all images, whenever possible.
