PawMatch is committed to reducing the needless euthanasia of adoptable cats and dogs in surrounding Austin communities. When you choose to adopt a homeless animal, you make a huge difference in that animal's life—the difference between life and death. At PawMatch, we strive to make your adoption process an enjoyable experience.
Adoption Process
1. Fall in Love
Stop by our any of our adoption outreach locations to meet your new best friend. Once you find a cat or dog that makes you smile and melts your heart, you are well on your way to adopting a new best friend!
2. Meet with a Counselor
At each of our adoption outreach locations, you will find a PawMatch Counselor ready to answer any questions you have about the cat or dog you have identified. The counselor will fill you in on the pet’s story. The counselor will also walk you through the Meet Your Match process designed by the ASPCA to insure that the animal best matches your expectations, experience, lifestyle, and home environment.
3. Complete the Adoption
After you find the dog or cat that best fits your home, you will fill out an adoption application. If the counselor approves your application, simply pay the adoption fees and then you can take your new pet home!
