Q: Does PawMatch adopt out animals that are sick?
A: No, PawMatch does not intentionally adopt any animal that may be sick. The organization takes all standard precautionary measures used today in animal welfare to make sure that an animal is healthy and ready for adoption. From time to time, all animal facilities and shelters can be subject to an outbreak of disease that can affect primarily young animals prior to receiving any vaccinations. Such incidents are isolated and they are handled with great care and respect.
Q: Does PawMatch euthanize cats and dogs?
A: PawMatch operates a No-Kill Shelter, meaning we will not euthanize any animal for lack of space or funding. PawMatch is a selective intake facility, which means that animals accepted into our facility must pass a medical and temperament test to ensure that they are adoptable. Animals that pass the medical/temperment evaluation are kept as long as it takes to get them adopted into a loving home.
Q: How can I make monetary donations to PawMatch to help save more animals?
A: PawMatch makes it easy for you to make a difference in the lives of these animals. Please see our Donation page to learn how you can make monetary donations on-site, online, and through planned giving, as well as in-kind donations of much-needed supplies. Thank you for your support—we couldn't do it without you!
